SANDRA: When it drops down in the heart, I’m not talking about the heart muscle, when it drops down into your spirit man it becomes a reality to you and nobody can take it from you! But in the meantime you’re just kind of wishy-washy. I mean I’ve got this doctor’s report here. I’ve got this Bible here.
LARRY: Mmm!
SANDRA: And even though the Bible says God cannot
lie, He’s an unchangeable God. He’ll do what He says He’ll do. He loves to do
impossible things! You can count on Him. He loves… I don’t know. I know a lot
of people that it looks like they died. I don’t know.
LARRY: Yep. Yes.
SANDRA: Now let’s straighten this out, Larry. One
thing we’re saying for sure is everybody’s going to die one day.
LARRY: Yes.
SANDRA: We’re not saying that you’re going to be…
you’re not going to die.
LARRY: No.
SANDRA: We’re saying you do not have to die sick!
LARRY: Come on! That’s good.
SANDRA: You don’t have to die sick! There’s not
anywhere in here where it says you have to die sick. Now if you want to, if
you’re just determined to die, get well and die!
LARRY: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well and the
interesting thing is this and I want to in a moment as we get ready to kind of
wind down this segment, I just want you to address those watching because what
you said is so powerful. To me healing actually reveals the nature of God as
well.
SANDRA: Oh, absolutely!
LARRY: It reveals that He’s good! It reveals that He
has authority over all sickness, over all disease.
SANDRA: Right.
LARRY: And it reveals He has power. But you said
that, you know when you look at the example of Jesus, when you look at the
Gospels, Jesus never turned any away!
SANDRA: Never!
LARRY: I feel the Holy Spirit, even as you said
that…
SANDRA: Yeah, right.
LARRY: …and as I restate that
can you address those who are watching right now cause I feel like there’s
people who are watching and are asking Lord, is it your will, is it your will
that I’m healed? Is it Your will to touch me? I just want you to minister out
of that for a moment, reminding them that Jesus is so good and compassionate He
never turned any away.
SANDRA: Well you know one of the things that people
have been taught is that it is NOT the will of the Lord, that it is NOT the
will of the Lord. And yet there’s only one place in the entire New Testament
where Jesus addresses His will and it has to do with the Garden of Gethsemane.
It has nothing to do with healing.
LARRY: Yes.
SANDRA: Nothing!
LARRY: That’s right.
SANDRA: And every instance about healing, when He was
addressed with healing He says “I will. I will. I will do it! I will heal
you. I have done it!” He actually says “I have done it!” I’m
waiting for you to believe I have done it! So in all honesty, Larry, we’re not
trying to get God to do anything. God has already done it. We’re trying to get
people to believe what God has done for them and to take it as a gift!
LARRY: Yeah. Yeah. And as we get ready to go onto
the next segment, we’re going to actually let you know what to do when you pray
for healing and you don’t experience an immediate breakthrough. Cause sometimes
people give up Dr. Kennedy is going to give you some practical keys to help you
stay the course. But remember when people came to Jesus and they said Jesus,
Master, if it’s Your will, will You heal me? Jesus settled the issue right
there and then and He said “I am willing!” Don’t go away! We’ll see
you back in a minute!

LARRY: Welcome back to “Something More!”
One of the things I want to talk about that I think a lot of people have
questions on is what to do when you don’t get an immediate healing. I think of
Jesus actually praying for a blind guy. Okay. Look in the Gospels there is an
instance where Jesus is praying for a guy and the guy doesn’t immediately get
healed. Jesus asks him “what do you see?” I see men as trees. Jesus
prays AGAIN and the guy gets completely healed. What does this tell me? It
tells me if Jesus is our model and He’s our example we need to follow Him as
the model and the example. And Jesus did not give up praying and neither should
you! And Dr. Kennedy, we’re going to talk about some practical things people
can do but let me first ask you this question. Is there a difference, you
think, between a healing and a miracle?
SANDRA: Yes. Yes, I do.
LARRY: What would you say that was?
SANDRA: Well in all honesty, any kind of a healing is
a miracle.
LARRY: Yeah, that’s right.
SANDRA: Because you and I can’t do it! (laughs)
LARRY: Yes. That is a good point! Yes.
SANDRA: But what we normally mean when we make that
kind of statement a miracle is instantaneous and lots of times it’s a gift
that’s in operation. A manifestation of a gift that’s in operation. Healing is
progressive.
LARRY: Mmm.
SANDRA: And most people, most people get healed
instead of an instant miracle it is progressive. 2 or 3 days it’ll show up.
Maybe a week but it’s not a long, drawn out thing. But yet miracles do happen
but as I say miracles are usually as an extension of a gift that is in
operation. For instance a gift in operation from my point of view is the guy at
the Pool of Bethesda.
LARRY: Mmm.
SANDRA: You know the people were all on the porches,
they were everywhere. Jesus goes to one guy.
LARRY: Yes.
