JENNIFER: And should they present their emotions back to God?
DENNIS: Now, this is the last step. “My emotions belong to God. Anything that is going to come to me from this point on, relationally, any person, place or thing, is going to come through God. My emotions belong to God. They’ve got to come through God to basically, have anything to do with me. I was bought with a price. I am not my own.” Now right now, no one in this audience is talking, but the anointing has increased, just now. That means you’re emanating a freedom. And that helped Jennifer when I would give her a confirmation, like a dual witness, like “Yes, you did it”. Well, I’m telling you, in this audience, you did it or you couldn’t have created that atmosphere. So when people get filled with the Spirit, I even say there’s an anointing on that so that they don’t talk themselves out of it later. You knew, at the time, it was real. And the beautiful thing is whatever you prayed for, right now at home, whatever you prayed for while listening to this, that is permanent. Just like a soul tie can last for years, if you don’t deal with it, the fruit of the Spirit, the fruit remains. Nobody can take that away from you. And you can think about, whatever you just prayed through, right now, this is what fortified Jennifer. You can pray about this tomorrow, an hour from now, a week from now.
JENNIFER: Think about the same thing.
DENNIS: Think about the same thing. Now you can’t change the scenario, but the exact thing that you prayed through, that fruit remains indefinitely. So you just picture, God’s presence has, literally, left a portion of that divine nature now, in that area. I am actually now growing in the divine nature because now He resides and He’s the authority. And peace is the rule of God. Let the peace of God rule. If you feel peace or even nothing, did you know there are people that would give their life savings to feel nothing. They’re so heavily medicated that they would love to feel nothing. Don’t ever minimize having peace because that’s the rule of God. That’s the scepter of your authority. And anything that robs you of that peace is an intruder trying to usurp the authority of Jesus the Messiah, in you. He wants to stick his flag of hurt, fear, lust, anger, guilt, shame so that he can manipulate, but the only flag we have is the flag of love. The banner over us is love. Peace is nothing more than love resting and ruling. Joy is nothing more than love rejoicing. It’s all love, but peace and joy are simply the expressions of His rule in your life. But that’s why God gave you emotions. He did not give the Christian emotions so that they could be problematic and troublesome. We actually see them as our friends. That sounds kind of crazy. Toxic emotions are our friends because when we start to feel them we go “Jesus isn’t ruling right now”.
JENNIFER: “That’s something I need to deal with.”
DENNIS: “That’s something I’ve got to deal with.” And then prompt obedience brings you back into abiding, practicing His presence, a want to, and it is addictive. Peace is addictive. Businessmen, you’ll accomplish more with less effort. Does that appeal to anybody in business? Accomplish more with less effort. Stress: men, because we have to talk to the men because women are the emotional ones and men aren’t “ar-ar-ar-ar-ar.” Men, you use the word, they have one word: frustration, which covers the whole sixty-four Crayola box of emotions.
