Sid: I believe this is God’s strategic time for you to start doing the works of Jesus. It’s no longer the pastor, or the evangelist, or the teacher as the superstar. It’s thee Superstar His name is Yeshua Jesus empowering you. Now I have Pastor Bill Johnson on the telephone I’m speaking to him at his office in Redding, California where he is Senior Pastor of Bethel Church. And you make a statement in your book Bill that “Satan is empowered through man’s agreement” explain that.
Bill: Satan could not come into the Garden, the Garden of Eden, and possess Adam and Eve. The only thing that he could do is talk until they came into agreement. When they came into agreement of course they partook of the forbidden fruit and the enemy was empowered to take that place of dominion they had and use that dominion over a planet to keep it in darkness. And it happens today, when people make agreement, when I fall into fear and shame, guilt any of those things all that is my agreement with the enemy. He brings and accusation my way; I agree with him when I do it I empower him to kill, still and destroy in my life.
Sid: Bill, Jesus walked in tremendous authority, tremendous power and you say that many Christians understand the power of God but they don’t understand the authority of God. What do you mean by that?
Bill: Jesus in Luke 9 verse 1 said that “He gave His disciples both power and authority over sickness, disease and over devils.” And what I mean when I say “We move by power” most of us that work in miracles know how to recognize the move of the Spirit in a meeting and move with Him. I like to describe it as catching a wave, catching the wave of the Spirit of God in a certain setting that brings about miracles. And it’s essential that we learn how to recognize the move of God and move with Him instead of trying to force Him to move with us. But there’s another aspect of ministry and that’s the realm of authority. When you’re in a shopping mall or you’re down at the park and you’re at some of these public places you don’t sense the Spirit of God moving; there’s no worship team; there’s nobody directing a meeting where power of God is moving a certain direction. You are there as a representative of the Kingdom of God. You are there as an ambassador of another world representing the King and His Kingdom. And out of that position that’s where we have to learn how to move out of authority. Instead of catching the wave we are creating the wave. God gives us a certain measure of responsibility to actually initiate something because of who He has made us to be. A good example, a young man is down at the park with his grandmom at kind of a church picnic. There’s a woman there on a walker she has cancer from the waist down; she’s going in for surgery the next day. And he says “How about if I pray for you and she says “I don’t believe in healing but you can pray for the doctors.” And he says “How about if we just see what God wants to do?” And she says “Fine but I don’t pray for healing.” So he prays for her when he through she says “I don’t believe in healing because he had prayed some prayer of faith.” She went to the doctor the next day and the pre-surgery examination the doctor said “I don’t know how to tell you this but you don’t have cancer anymore.” There was no wave to catch in that moment; all he did was move out of the authority of who God made him to be and it brought a miracle to destroy cancer in her body.
Sid: Well as far as the authority goes it’s a question of understanding this and I believe in your book you’ve done a brilliant teaching on understanding authority. And there is an anointing on what you’ve written “When Heaven Invades Earth.” I image that a lot of this came from teaching in your school of the supernatural and ministering yourself over the years.
Bill: Yes, absolutely.
Sid: Is this your first book?
Bill: Yes, it is.
Sid: How come you waiting so long to do a book?
Bill: (Laughing) I don’t know it took me awhile to get that one done.
Sid: Well, it’s well worth reading.
Bill: Thanks.
Sid: For instance a lot of people that have written about what your book is like I’ve interviewed Todd Bentley who moves in tremendous signs and wonders. This is what he says about your book. “I’ve read many books on healing and miracles. This book is more than just healing information it contains revelatory teaching and keys to living in the supernatural. I believe this book contains some hidden truths and revelation being shared in these last days a must for those wanting to receive and minister a Kingdom of power, healing, signs and wonders.” Tell me where worship fits into this whole mix Bill.
Bill: You know our experience in worship started about 30 years ago. My dad began to teach on the priority of ministry to God. And I can tell you that is really where it all began because in worship is where you discover His manifest presence more clearly than anywhere else. And in that’s how you get to become familiar with the anointing, with the presence of God. How to move with God what His heartbeat is for people. The presence of God is the greatest gift that we have and He inhabits the praises of His people. We have this encounter with His presence in worship that we don’t have anywhere else. So worship is really where all of this started for us is becoming acquainted with the presence of power of God in worship. The only natural overflow is to see healing and deliverance and salvation to lost people. All of that is the overflow of a real recognition of His presence.
Sid: Now you make a big deal in your book, in fact I’ll quote from it, you say “Any gospel that doesn’t work in the marketplace doesn’t work.”
Bill: (Laughing)
Sid: We think of Benny Hinn and his miracle crusades.
Bill: Yeah.
Sid: But as I read the Bible there weren’t these giant miracle crusades, Jesus had them, but they were in the highways and byways going to the people that wouldn’t come to the miracle crusades.
Bill: Yes, I love the Benny Hinn’s of this world and what they are doing and they really help to raise an awareness of what God intends to do with everyone. But it’s got to work out on the streets and so that’s what we go after. We don’t have dorms for our students we plant them in homes all around the city so that we can invade the neighborhood so we can invade the shopping malls, the coffee shops. We have tremendous displays of signs and wonders right out in public places. In fact, I think that we have more people being healed in public than in church. And we have a lot of people healed in church.
Sid: Give me some examples of people that are healed in public places. You’re students actually go… tell me the truth now do they really go to bridges and look under them to see if there are some homeless people that they can pray for?
Bill: Yeah, they’ll get a word of knowledge God will say “There’s somebody under such and such a bridge that you need to pray for.” So they’ll go looking for them. A couple of young men are sitting in a house and the Lord says to them “Somebody needs a miracle at Starbucks.” So they drive down there, they sit outside on the tables and they’ll just wait and a few minutes later a guy comes up on crutches it happens to be a star athlete in town. He had a very serious accident with his lower back tailbone leg area. And two guys went over and asked him if they could pray for him. They did and he absolutely went ballistic he sprinted and ran around the parking lot jumping and just making a scene because he was so stunned over his miracle. And right there in a public place and he is the one who is letting the whole world know so to speak that God healed him down at a coffee shop. And it was just a couple of young men sitting at home and the Lord spoke to them and said “There’s someone who needs a miracle at Starbucks.”
Sid: Listen, there’s someone right now who needs a miracle that’s listening to us and I believe that you can move in the authority God has given you in the name of Jesus and pray for them to be healed. Would you do that Bill?
Bill: I would love to. We see enormous amounts of people healed from automobile accidents that have suffered for 10, 20 and 30 years. So let me start with that, Father, I pray first in the Name of the Lord Jesus that You would release an anointing that breaks the yoke. We stand against the spirit of infirmity and affliction that torments people’s bodies now in Jesus Name. I’m asking Lord that You would touch people that have been afflicted 10, 20, 30 years because of accidents and that bones would be healed. They would be reset, the muscles would be reattached, that the spirit of infirmity that has abstained that accident would be broken now in the name of Jesus. For arthritis, for all of the conditions; the digestive issues; the torment in the stomach area; the colon diseases the colitis and Crohn’s disease I stand against that infirmity in the Name of Jesus. And I rebuke cancer, I rebuke cancer we refuse to stand in intimidation over what the Goliath of the medical community. And we say cancer we rebuke you in Jesus name. I command rebellious cells to be destroyed and for there to be a creative miracle in the name of Jesus. Lord open blind eyes, let eyes be open, let them be restored. For death ears, deaf and dumb spirit I stand against you in Jesus name. And declare the healing word into the ears of people. God I just ask for an anointing not only for healing, but that you would actually restore people’s hearts of confidence to be able to pursue You the God of the impossible once again. That people would learn to cry out and to trust You and just to step into that place of risk, just making room for You to show up and do what You do. You’re the extravagant Father, You’re the great lover of our souls so I ask for courage; the anointing for courage to come upon the Body of Christ in Jesus Name.

Sid: We want everyone everywhere to really know the real Jesus. You see my guest from Israel says that Christianity has been high jacked; we’ll get into that in a moment. His name is Ron Cantor Executive Pastor of Tiferet Yeshua which means the glory of Yeshua, the glory of Jesus, Messianic Jewish Congregation in Tel Aviv Israel. Now Ronny of course you’re an American Jew, have a real famous cousin. The House Minority Leader Congressman Eric Cantor, but I’m going to take you back a number of years ago and one of your best friends becomes a believer in Jesus and he says “Ron you must be born again!” What went on inside of you?
Ron: I was shocked! How could this be? I was Jewish and there was one thing that we were taught growing up being Jewish is that we do not believe in Jesus. So when he told me that I had to believe in Jesus and be born again I was really confused and stunned. And yet at the same time for some strange reason I knew he was telling me the truth. I yelled at him. And I said “Brian that’s not true, there’s nothing written in the New Testament about being born again.” Which was quite funny because I had never read the New Testament and he of course opened his Bible up to John 3:3 where Yeshua tells the Jewish Rabbi Nicodemus that he must be born again. Again just like a light went on like somebody literally opened my eyes, and I was terrified for the next 8 months I really struggled with this. At the same time Sid I really wanted to know how do I find God. I realized I had lived 18 years of my life without ever really considering really what happens to me after I die. If there’s a God, I thought “Maybe there’s a God” but I wasn’t passionate about it. So for the next 8 months I really wanted to know if Jesus was the Messiah.
Sid: Now you actually went to a Jewish Yom Kippur Service and you actually fasted and what was your prayer?
Ron: Well, this was about 7 months into it and I figured I can’t even consider Jesus until I first search out Judaism. So Yom Kippur the Day of Atonement the holiest day on the Jewish calendar comes. We fast, we believe we’ll be forgiven if we fast. So I decided I would do something crazy for an 18 year old I would not eat for 24 hours and many Jews do that all of their lives but for me it was the first time. And at the end of those 24 hours I was hoping to have some sense of connection with God or feeling of forgiveness. But other than being extremely hungry I did not feel any closer to God than I did the day before.
Sid: Well now I’m going to fast forward. You’re with a college friend and he starts talking to you about the Messiah but something supernatural happened explain.
Ron: Right, we were coming home from Richmond driving back to North Carolina to our school. Somehow it came up that he had been a believer in High School, and I had all of these questions for him. My big question Sid “What was your life like when you were a believer because I just believed that anyone that was religious at any level was just a boring not interesting human being. And my question was “What happens to me if I actually choose to become a believer am I going to have a miserably boring religious life?”
Sid: You know what you’re doing? You’re counting the cost, that’s what you were doing but go ahead. (Laughing)
Ron: So I asked him what his life was like when he was serving God and he was suddenly very excited. And as he’s talking to me a peace, a presence that I had never felt in my life entered the car. And he said “Ron in two days there’s a movie in my home city of Durham and I want to take you to it and it’s about Jesus.” So we went to the movie and at the end of the movie we were both crying; it was very powerful but I also said “This is Hollywood I didn’t become an alien after I watched ET even though I cried during ET, and I wasn’t going to give me life to Jesus because I was crying at a movie.” So we got in the car and we’re driving back to our college we’re about an hour away and about half way back I just prayed I said “God, I have to know the truth; is Jesus the Jewish Messiah or is there some other way to serve You; show me how I can serve You.” So as I begin to pray this and this is the first time I’ve ever prayed in my life; as I prayed this prayer Dean loses control of the car. It begins to spin around swerve and then spin around and the it flipped over upside down into a ditch. And so we are now in the middle of farm country North Carolina upside down alone. Our car was completely totaled it was never driven again; and yet we got out of that car completely unscathed. So we’re looking for a house; there happens to be one house in front of us; other than that house I don’t think there was another house within miles because it was farm country. We knock on the door and these two wonderful born again believers in Yeshua in Jesus answered the door. And next thing I know I’m sitting in their living room and they’re explaining the gospel message to me. I had a lot of questions “If Jesus was the Son of God why didn’t he get off the cross and prove it.” Interestingly enough that was what one of the Roman guards said you know “Show us you’re the Messiah, get off of the cross.” And she explained to me that He didn’t come to get off the cross but to die on the cross.” She actually explained to me for the first time God’s plan of salvation and why He had to die. But Sid I wasn’t a very bright guy at that time and I barely got out of High School, and I really had no idea what she was saying. And as she’s talking to me this presence comes all over my body. And I’m not kidding if I took my wet hand and touched a live electric socket it would not have been stronger than what I felt that night. The more I resisted this power it just got stronger and stronger; until I stopped her and said “What is going on; what am I feeling?” And that night I believed, that night I was born again, I walked out of that house a new creation, everything was different. And we got back to the college and everyone heard about our car accident and they wanted to know what was going on. I just had to tell people about Yeshua, about Jesus. The next night I actually went to the bar where all of our friends hang out and I don’t recommend this to most believers. But I went to the bar because I wanted to go tell everybody what happened to me and how God had changed my life.
Sid: Now you were doing drugs at the time; alcohol; you had a foul mouth; what happened to all of the above?
Ron: Well for about a week later… a week I was good but a week later because I was literally alone in college I fell back into my old patterns; drugs, alcohol, sex, everything but about 4 months later I come back to Richmond, Virginia. I had gone to a concert and at the end of this concert the singer asked “Who wanted to rededicate their lives to Jesus.” I stood up, I did that and I said “God I’m going to make a deal with You I’m going to give you half of my life but I want to keep half because I really enjoy what I do.” And God is so merciful Sid He could have struck me down right then and I would have deserved it. The next night I went out to this bar; we had purchased a couple grams of cocaine, my friend did the cocaine, I did the cocaine. He had a great time; I was miserable, the drug did not affect me and it was $100. About 1:00AM I was so angry and upset and I said “I’m just getting out of here I’m going home.” I got into my car and I began to drive home and the Holy Spirit spoke to me and He said “Ron if you had had a good time tonight you would have never returned to Me.” And I just broke down Sid, I surrendered in that car I cried, I cried out to God I said “I’m done I’m free, I’m giving You everything 100%.” Now it’s like 2am and I had to tell somebody. You remember the old Don Fransico song. I went to my friend Brian house, he actually was out of town, went to my friend Jimmy; Jimmy’s house and couldn’t find him. And then I went to my other friend’s house who were all drug addicts and I found somebody on the front porch and just began to preach the gospel to them. And I just have been doing that ever since.
Sid: But what happened to your language and the drugs and the alcohol?
Ron: One day turned into two, two days turned into a week; next thing you know it’s a month. Then it’s 6 months and then I was free it was never a struggle, I never had to think about it.
Sid: Okay Ron, you were part of a congregation that a number of us started a long time ago a Messianic Jewish Congregation. And the next thing I know you’re married to a nice Messianic Jewish Israeli. And the next thing I know you’re on your way to Israel. We’ll find out a little bit about that tomorrow because I want to know what an American bumped into that made Alyah in Israel. But tell me about your brand new book “Identity Theft.”
Ron: Well, Sid I started writing “Identity Theft” as just a Jewish roots book, to explain to Christians the Jewish roots of the faith. I figured I would sell it when I was out speaking engagements. So I thought it was a pretty good book; we wrote it and we finished it; it was a teaching book. And as I finished it and I was about to send it into the publisher I just had this thought “Ron you have written this book the wrong way; I want you to rewrite it as a novel.” And I said “That’s crazy, I am not Tom Clancey or John Grisham I don’t know the first thing about writing fiction. I think that I’m a pretty good teacher and preacher of the Word but to write a novel there’s no way.” And this weighed on me for 2 days and then I got an email from a woman that had been helping me with the editing process. And she said “Ron, I don’t know what it is, but I had this vision about a caterpillar that went into the cocoon and when it came out as a butterfly it never reached its full potential because it came out too early.” She said “I hate to say this but it’s your book, it’s not ready.” So I was going “This is crazy how can I rewrite as a novel?” I ended up doing it and I did nothing else but write; and Sid it was the most amazing experience. The moment I began to rewrite this book about the Jewish roots of the New Covenant as a novel it flowed out of me; it was a supernatural experience.
Sid: I have to tell you, you are able because it’s such a captivating actually humorous at times story and very poignant at times. You get truth out there that few would even read…

Jonathan: Are you serious?
Sid: I’m serious Jonathan go ahead.
Jonathan: Shalom Mishpochah, Shalom family.
Sid: You can’t even pronounce Mishpochah right there’s no way that you could do that Jonathan. That’s my guest Jonathan Bernis and I’m Sid Roth and we’re actually having fun because when you know God you can have fun. But there’s times to be serious and there’s time to have fun. And we want to talk about a serious subject right now. The increase worldwide of antisemitism. What’s the Biblical origin of antisemitism Jonathan?
Jonathan: You know Sid I hear all the time that antisemitism is a totally illogical viewpoint. It’s a totally illogical idea ideology and that simply wrong. Antisemitism is very logical, very logical. Let me tell you where antisemitism begins and I’ve done a lot of research on this. As a matter of fact, I’m in the process of writing a book on it. antisemitism origins are Genesis chapter 3 verse 15. Again let me say that again Genesis 3 verse 15. Mishpochah you should jot this verse down because this is a key verse. And theological terms this verse is called the Protoevangelion.
Sid: Oi vey I’m sorry you told me. (Laughing)
Jonathan: Oi vey Sid never for get that the Protoevangelion
Sid: Ha, ha I’ll never remember it but go ahead.
Jonathan: Very simply it means pre-gospel. This is the very first declaration of the gospel of God’s future redemption in the scriptures. Genesis 3:15 and you all know the story God has created the world, He has created man. He’s enacted what I call the principal of creation and delegation. He said to Adam “I have created everything, now I’ve delegating it to you. You can do anything you want basically as long as you obey me and don’t eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.” And what happened, we all know what happened, Adam disobeyed God and the world was catapulted into a state of sin. I mean we don’t comprehend Sid just how severe, how radical the change in the earth was when Adam and Eve sinned. I mean I could give you a long list but it was as very very radical change. And in that day man began to die. In Genesis 3:15 although there a curse that’s placed on both the serpent, or Satan, and the woman. There is also a declaration of redemption. And I’m going to read the verse in the NIV “And I will put enmity or division between you and the woman between your offspring and hers. He will crush your head and you will strike his heal.” Now it’s a little bit complicated if you haven’t looked at this before but basically what the Lord is saying is that the seed, the offspring of the woman, which is a very unusual statement Sid that actually the declaration of the virgin birth. Because seed in scripture is carried through the man; it’s transmitted through the man an yet this is the seed of the woman which is the first prophecy of the virgin birth not Isaiah 7:14. And then it says “Her seed.” speaking of course of the Messiah the Yeshua, will crush the head of the serpent” an in response the serpent will only bruise the heal of the Messiah. Which is exactly what happened at Calvary. Now why do I set all of this up in this verse? Because I believe that antisemitism is a direct response to this declaration of redemption. The Lord is saying to Satan and so Satan is very much aware of this that a day will come in the future when your head will be crushed by the seed of this woman. So this something that Satan has had if you will hanging over his head for… how many thousand years? For 6,000 years or how many you date or far back you date Adam and Eve. What am I getting at? Well, the seed, the seed of the woman which I call the seed promise is carried of course through Noah and through his descendants and you really don’t hear anything about it until Genesis 12. In Genesis 12 were introduced to a man named Abram. Later becomes Abraham and the Lord makes this incredible statement; He says “I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you and through you.” Or though Sid, it says in the Hebrew “your seed (or your offspring) all the nations of the earth, all the Goyim the nations of the earth will be blessed.” What is that prophesying? It’s prophesying ultimately that through the loins of Abraham, through his seed will come the Redeemer of Genesis 3:15. Are you following me so far?
Sid: So far it makes lots of sense.
Jonathan: So far, so clear. So here’s the simplicity and the logic of antisemitism. Satan the serpent if you will has a death sentence hanging over his head that his head will be crushed by the seed of the woman. He then is very much aware of the calling and choseness of Abram and the promise that through his seed the world will be blessed ultimately through Messiah. And so he understands that this seed promise will be fulfilled through the children of Abram, later that’s through Issac and then Jacob and so on through the 12 children of Israel. Antisemitism is nothing more or less Sid than Satan trying to preserve himself. It’s an act of self preservation because the logic is if I can destroy Abraham and his offspring then I can keep this Genesis 12:3 seed from ever fulfilling this prophecy.
Sid: Yes but I can see that before Jesus came but after He came how does it play out?
Jonathan: Oh Sid that’s the million dollar question, your a great student of the word. Let me just back up a little I’m going to get to that. How clearly it’s demonstrated in scripture. Well, I think it’s very clearly demonstrated because you have throughout the Old Testament attempt after attempt to destroy the Jewish people of course portrayed in Antiochus Epiphanes. Portrayed in the story of Esther, or Purim, where a man named Haman, a type of anti-Christ tries to destroy the Jewish people. And then ultimately this reaches a crescendo Sid when Herod reaches, another type of anti-Christ, summons the wise men of Israel and says “Tell me, where will this Messiah be born?” And they quote Micah 5:2 “He’ll be born in Bethlehem.” So what does Herod do, he sends his troops to kill all male children under 2 years of age. That’s Satan himself trying to preserve himself to keep the seed from being born. That is the Epitome or the climax of antisemitism the ore-Messiah. So now to get to your question. We understand why Satan tried to destroy the Jewish people and preserve his life and keep Calvary from happening but he failed. Right?
Sid: Right.
Jonathan: Praise God he failed.
Sid: For sure, but we’re going to run out of time if we don’t find out why.
Jonathan: The fact is that he failed, Jesus came He lived a sinless life; He made it though all of that temptation. On two occasions he sweated it out in the garden He said “Your will will be done.” He went freely as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world at Calvary. Laid down His life for us, was laid in the tomb of a rich man. And praise God Sid He didn’t stay there. After 3 days and 3 nights the Bible tells us that the resurrection power of the Living God came into Him. And He rose from the dead and defeated Satan and his hordes and made a open show of them. Hallelujah! So all principalities and rulers are under His feet and under our! That’s the great news, that is the gospel.
Sid: Let’s go to that million dollar question now?
Jonathan: Now why has Satan worked so hard then in the last 2000 years to destroy the Jewish people. In fact Sid he’s worked harder in the last 2000 years than he did before Yeshua came. You have of course the Pogroms, you have the Spanish Inquisition, you have the Crusades and ultimately the Holocaust where 6 million Jewish people perished. All because of Satan’s effort to destroy the Jewish people. Well here’s the answer, Genesis 3:15 must not be fulfilled yet. I was taught that Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled with the death, burial, and resurrection of Messiah. Were you taught that?
Sid: Of course.
Jonathan: I was taught that but Sid I’ve come to believe, and I really believe the Lord showed me this that that is not the case at all. The Genesis 3:15 will only be fulfilled when Jesus returns to this earth because there is an enemy that stills has to be defeated. And that enemy is death. Satan is still loose, he’s still affecting people’s lives. He’s still the prince and power of the air and ruler over this earth for those that don’t know the Lord. The Bible’s very clear about that and all you have to do is look around Sid and see that evil is really reaching a climax. We are returning to the days of Noah.
Sid: Okay, so if that hasn’t been fulfilled totally experientially yet, why is he so antisemitic?
Jonathan: Well, here’s the answer. Satan knew that Jesus had to come through the seed of Abraham. That the seed of the woman was connected to the seed of Abraham and his offspring. And so he said “If I destroy the Jewish people I keep the Messiah from coming.” Now this is what most… what Satan understands and most Christians don’t Sid, an everybody buckle you seat belts and listen closely to this. What most Christians don’t know is that the Jewish people play as an important rule in the return of Christ as they did in the coming, the first coming of Christ. In other words it had to be through the seed of Abraham but Sid the restoration of Israel and the Jewish people must take place before Jesus returns. It’s the pivotal foundational event according to Romans 11:25. That the Jewish people…
Sid: You know that really makes a lot of sense to me Mishpochah, I never thought in those terms. But that whole One New Man, the Jew and the Gentile becoming one and running that last lap as the anchorman. Boy I’ll tell you what that was worth just waiting for.

Sid: Now I have a friend in the studio that I have known many years Pastor David Jones. And one day he called me and he said “He had an open vision and it was almost as if he was at one of the most important events about ready to happen to planet earth.” But before I have him share that with you I’d like you to get to know him a little bit. David I have to tell you I am overwhelmed in what God has done in your life because of such a dysfunctional background that you were. I mean you should have been dead or in prison or insane. Am I exaggerating?
David: No, not at all. Sometime my mother would see me and say “I just hope I don’t get the phone call that they would find you dead in a ditch.”
Sid: Tell me a bit about your background.
David: My dad was an alcoholic he gave me the alcohol bottle at 11 wanted me to be a tough guy. So I began to drink at 11, became an alcoholic, got a DUI, crashed many cars. Went to jail for DUI’s; I wanted to stop but I couldn’t stop. When I didn’t get a drink my hand would tremble and shake. And I remember saying this “Will I ever be delivered, will I ever be set free from this thing.” And even when I’d try and say “I’m not drinking today; I’m not drinking my friends would come over with a big keg of beer and say ‘Hey man it’s on.’” Wow, now it’s coming to me. When you’re in sin it has it’s clutches in you but not only does it have it’s clutches in you it has it’s clutches in all those that you associate with.
Sid: Now you eventually went into the Marines; why would you had done that?
David: Crazy.
Sid: I’m sure, I mean I’m not crazy and I wouldn’t do that.
David: Yeah, I thought I was a tough guy and we went on a buddy plan with four other guys and we thought we were really tough and went in there and found out…
Sid: Speaking of being tough you were a fighter.
David: Yes Sir.
Sid: Tell me about that.
David: Well my dad was a fighter I mean he was a boxer in the ring but also a fighter in the streets so he always wanted me to be a tough guy. So I would fight with a vengeance because when he would abuse me and hit me and knock me down and tell me to get up I wouldn’t hit him, I wouldn’t fight him but with other men I would go crazy on them. I just wouldn’t take anything from anyone.
Sid: Now how does someone as dysfunctional as you were react to such discipline as the Marine? (Laughing)
David: Oh yeah, it wasn’t easy. It wasn’t easy I made up in my mind that when I was in there I said “Well I’m in here no one put a gun to my head I’m just going to be the best Marine I can.” And I just grudged it out grudged it out in any that I could.
Sid: Okay, how did you become a believer?
David: Got out of Marines; was working at Ford Motor Company. God invited to church by a coworker; I finally went. Sat in the back, the preacher made the altar call, the first night I didn’t go. I didn’t know if I could live saved, didn’t know if I could do it. And so the second night I came back and matter of fact when I was at Ford Motor Company the boss brought me that big old check and I said to myself “Me and my brother are going to party tonight.” I said “Wait a minute I told that preacher that I was coming to his church.” And one thing that I always tried to keep my word, when my mother would ask me to go to church and I would say “I’m not going, I’m not going.” But I said “I would go, I would go.” And here I am I’m only breaking my word but breaking my word to a man of God. And so when I made up my mind not to go I fell on the conveyor belt in the parts started hitting me in the head and God allowed me to hear my heart beat “pump-pump pump-pump” and I began to pray. Oh no, “Please Lord no (pump-pump). No, Give me another chance I’ll go to this man of God church, please have mercy on my soul. (pump-pump).” All of a sudden my heart came back beating regular, and I looked up and people said “Are you alright.” I said “Please do not do me like this I’ll go to this man of God church.” Well I went and the evangelist made the altar call. Well, this time I get up and I go but this time my knees started knocking and getting weak and all of a sudden I heard the devil himself saying “Run out of this church, get out of this church. What are you doing? You can’t do it, you can’t lived saved get out of here.” But I kept going and I kept going and I went to the altar the evangelist there with his hands outstretched, “Son do you want to be saved?” I said “Yes Sir, yes sir I want to be saved.” Like big yokes lifted off of me and when I went to grab his hand the power of God hit me and I flew straight backwards but there weren’t no ushers there to let me down easy. But when I hit the floor it was like hitting a bed of cotton. And the sister was looking at me back then and I thought I was a pretty cool cat and so I said “What am I doing on this floor let me get up.” Before I could do that Sid the supernatural began and it began in my belly. And it began in my chest and then it got in my throat and then it got in my mouth and my tongue began to cling to the roof of my mouth and I began to speak in a supernatural language as the Spirit of God will give utterance. And all of a sudden peace such joy I’ve never experienced. And the next thing I know I’m on the side of the wall just speaking ushers tried to get me and the Pastor said “Let him alone; God has him now.” And I would just speaking and I have never been the same since.
Sid: What happened to the drugs and alcohol?
David: Instantly delivered.
Sid: Instantly?
David: Took the taste of alcohol. I smoked cigarettes since I was 11 took the taste of cigarettes from me the desire. Hennessy drinking, Hennessy whiskey took it right from me. Crack cocaine, mescaline, THC. I did it all and instantly delivered. You know why? Because there’s a God in heaven and super rules and knows all things and He heard my cry for deliverance.
Sid: Now I’m going to take you to February 2012 it’s the morning, you’ve just woke up and you get up to go to the rest room and then but you’re going back to your bed then what happened?
David: It’s like all of a sudden someone just took me by the arm and here I am catapulted in this open vision. And in the vision I find myself just hovering over the planet earth about 200 feet up in the air. And I can see all of the inhabitance of the land. People going to the grocery stores and to the malls and people pumping gas and children with their parents and businessmen with their briefcases going to and fro. All of a sudden it was such a beautiful day but all of a sudden the clouds began to become thick and black and dark. And everything changed in a moment of time. Then all of a sudden there was a sound from heaven a sound like I’ve never heard before in my life and the sound was so powerful and magnificent and deafening, and yes the sound deafening comes to me. And not only was it deafening to the ears of all mankind but it pierced their very skeleton. What do I mean by that? When the sound pierced their ears and their skeleton their bodies began to shake but they were froze they couldn’t move forward or backwards but their bodies were shaking and trembling under this sound from heaven. And the sound was like 7 claps of thunder all rolled into one. And the people began to scream and wail and holler and run. But there was no place for them to run; they were falling on each other, running on top of each other running here and there screaming and the look on their face was total terror. All of a sudden God was allowing me to sense and feel what people were feeling. Number 1 total terror1; number 2 horror something like out of a Steven Spielberg movie something foreign to them not foreign but God invaded their life. He broke through all the clouds and came through the atmosphere and that’s when I’d seen like someone took a razor blade and split the heavens in half from top to bottom and here come the majesty and the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ with all his bands of angels. And Sid one thing I noticed immediately was the colors of heaven they’re not like colors here on earth, they’re magnificent. They’re brilliant they’re such splendor of colors and the blues are just glorious the oranges and the golds and yellow just glorious color. And then here come the Son of Man and Sid He was coming speedily with all His bands of angels speedily to the earth and it took all humanity off guard. People were just screaming and hollering. And then I heard one guy he was standing looking at everything that was happening and he began to say “Oh no, no, wait no, no I thought I had time! No, no, no wait, wait wait I thought I had time, but all time had ran out.” And then a guy, he looked something like an Indian guy real short and he begin to say “This is a dream, this is a dream I’m going to wake up, I’m going to wake up!” But Sid he couldn’t wake up because he was already woke. All this talk about Jesus is coming! Jesus is coming! Jesus is coming! HE HAS COME! He has come just like He said He would! Then I heard a voice from Heaven saying “This is the Day of the Lord, it has come!” I came out of the vision trembling and shaking on the ground and all of a sudden God spoke to me and said “I charge you now to warn all mankind.” And He said it like this, “I’m coming, I’m coming, I’m coming, I’m coming, I’m coming.” And I began to repent and I began to search my own heart, I didn’t pray for my wife, I didn’t pray for my children, I didn’t pray for my mother. I began to pray for myself. Why? Because I sensed and feel what everyone is feeling. Listen to me people, there is a terror of the Lord that mankind has not been introduced to, or should I say that this generation has not been introduced to. A terror, the horror yes, we know that God is love and we know that God is mercy and we know that God is compassion and He’s long suffering, but He says “You tell them from Me that I am a God of justice, and I am a God of judgment!” God said it and it shall come to pass!
Sid: David, our time is up right now today but I’d like you to pick up right here tomorrow. What David is describing the Bible refers to as the great and awesome day of the Lord. The Bible says “He who wins souls is wise.” The truth is very few Christians do this, this is a New Year’s resolution for you; I want you to take souls to Heaven.

Sid: My guests by way of telephone are Pat and Patty McEnnerney. I’m speaking to them at their home in Casa Grande, Arizona. There are so many people today that are either headed towards divorce, divorced, their marriages are shambles. There are people listening to us right now that are just giving up. I remember a few years ago there was a prophetic word by Oral Roberts that there were demons that were being released especially on people in ministry to cause divorce. Patty you went through almost getting there. What was going on with your husband at the time?
Patty: In 1981 actually for the years prior; 1971 we were married for ten years; Patrick was drinking. He became addicted to cocaine; our finances went from an abundance to nothing and we were at the end of ourselves; and we needed a Savior. Patrick just had kind of left behind his family, his business, anything that the world thought was important he left; we were struggling. Our marriage was very close to an end.
Sid: Why did you not throw in the towel?
Patty: You know God intervened in such a might way. I accepted the Lord in 1980 and I began to seek and search and attend Bible studies and the Lord gave me a word from Joel 2:25. “The Lord would restore the years that the locust had eaten.” I didn’t understand that but I knew that it was truth from the word and I stood on that word. And I was determined because the Lord told me that I had a covenant with Him. It wasn’t so much that I had a covenant with Pat but I had a living covenant with Him. And He said “He would be there; He would never leave me.” So I went to prayer and I pressed in and I was waxing the floor one day and I was pinned to the floor literally I couldn’t get up. And I said “Lord…
Sid: Wait, wait had this ever happened to you before?
Patty: It had never happened to me before; I really didn’t know what intercession was; I didn’t know the heaviness. So I was on the floor just releasing, releasing and that’s the key to receiving answers to prayer is releasing. Because He can’t do anything until we give it to Him. It’s His pleasure to minister to us but we have to let Him have it. So I spent the whole day; I stripped the squares of my kitchen floor and I pressed in and He wouldn’t let me leave. And about 8 hours into this encounter it was Jacob wresting; I was wrestling with God. About 8 hours into this encounter I sensed His presence, His peace and I knew that He was in control of my situation. That the pain that I had been experiencing was still there but I could give it to Him. I was able to stand up and I just sensed His presence and peace knowing no matter what happened that I would be okay. I mean that Pat could die; that he could do drugs and alcohol, that he could do whatever he was doing.
Sid: You really released him.
Patty: I released him and I relate it to like Miriam putting Moses in the basket. You know she could have… this is what I had done previously, I had continuously put Pat in that basket but I had a rope on it and I kept pulling it back. And saying “It’s mine” and I came to that place that I left that basket go and of course the story of Moses and all that. So I knew, I knew that I was releasing him and that he was God’s problem.
Sid: Isn’t that what God’s waiting for all of us to do? To totally trust Him 100% even if it means walking on water?
Patty: (Laughing) Well, you know we had such… I had such an expectation after that because that Covenant is a promise and I was able to enter into His presence and I received the assurance that I needed to arise. I literally arose on that kitchen floor; and He is going to go before me. And He told me that in my spirit and then I understood; yes that He would restore the years that the locust had eaten. That it was His job but I had to release; so and it was shortly thereafter, actually about 2 weeks, after that Pat had his encounter with the Lord. I truly believe that had I not done that out of obedience, often we don’t understand what that obedience is releasing; if I hadn’t done that I don’t think that Pat would have been alive today because he had an accident that should have killed him.
Sid: Patty, how long have you’ve been married?
Patty: Thirty-three years.
Sid: But just look; if you had not let go at that point I image there is no way that you could have been married today.
Patty: No, and we had neighbor’s telling us; telling me to divorce Patrick. I mean when it was so obvious that the neighbors were coming me to my door and asking me “What was up? What’s going on Patty?” It was affecting our children who were 7 and 4; I would have probably have been a divorced mother or widow. I truly believe that; and that’s the… I truly believe the power of the word of God because I know it went before me. And you know a young baby in Christ you don’t have the answers; you don’t know where to go. But when He drops it in your spirit then you can’t deny it. I prayed those scriptures over Pat after that. And of course when you come from a dysfunctional family you have all these issues the baggage that you carry with you. But we began to be transformed in Christ and I would pray these scriptures over Pat. And the one that really ministered to me was Colossians, Colossians 1. It was talking about that Patrick would “Walk worthy of the Lord fully pleasing being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” And you know He has done that; God has brought that to Pat. He’s strengthened him and He translated him literally from darkness to light. And so I just know that the scriptures so powerful because that is exactly what Pat has become.
Sid: So Patty, what about some of the people that are listening to us right now and say “Hey that’s me.” What would you say to them?
Patty: Well, I’d say go to a dark quiet place and pray. Call in the prayer warriors, call in the support but go to the word because the word is the promise. The word is the covenant and that never leaves you and there’s strength and power in the word. Begin praying those scriptures over your loved one. It doesn’t return void; it will not return void; so as you pray those scriptures it has to come to past. Because that’s what God’s word says.
Sid: Would you put Patrick on right now; I want to get it from him. Now that’s how it was from Patty’s side. I want you to hear how it’s from Patrick’s side. Patrick you heard what Patty said; would you fill in the blanks?
Pat: We were in desperate straight; we were between a rock and a hard spot and there was a cry of desperation. And this is a good thing; you know people that might be listening to this that have no knowledge about Christianity it’s alright because God’s no respecter of person. When our cry gets deep enough there’s an opportunity in desperation. And we just need to cry out to the Lord Jesus.
Sid: Now you actually got born again; you read a scripture and literally the scales came off your eyes but you were still drinking and still doing drugs.
Pat: Yes, I was still addicted; I was still drinking; I had a new conscience though.
Sid: So that’s when Patty’s intercession just kind of changed everything for you.
Pat: Absolutely, you know it was so obviously that God came into our house when I walked home that night. Because when you see the love of God; when you walk into His presence; I don’t care who you are you know it’s God. Because the watermark is higher than anything that human, the mind or the intellect could measure. And I saw in her eyes it was a supernatural love of Jesus. I didn’t have a clue what she’d done that day but I knew that…
Sid: I mean this was different than anything that you’ve ever seen before; I mean you’d already been married 10 years.
Pat: Correct, it was so radically different that it spun me around and I stopped knowing that I’d come home late actually and didn’t respect my wife by even calling her. I had stopped and spun around and said “Oh, my goodness I see Jesus in your eyes.” See I had no knowledge of this type of language really to speak of; I just accepted the Lord and I had a new conscience but I looked at my wife and I said “You’ve been changed.” You know and I see love, I’ve never seen love like this before, what is this. And so I continued up pondering what I had really encountered in my house. And I believe is what my wife did was a covenant truth; God’s a covenant God. He took the handcuffs off of God and released Him to deal with me. (Ha ha) and He did in a powerful way.
Sid: But then something almost tragic happened that wreck.
Pat: Well, you just said, “We’re you still drinking?” Yes, I was still drinking, I was still using narcotics; my whole life was in shambles, everything that I’d worked for, the business that we owned was falling apart. And within 2 weeks after I’d witnessed this with my wife I went to international drag race and drank and had lots of drugs. When I was driving home I blacked out in the vehicle. The Lord had an angel in that vehicle that shook me awake physically as I was driving off of the road. As I was driving off of the road I cried out “Oh, Jesus.” And there was a guardrail with these big timbers and I watched the top guardrail come off of the center post and directly at my head, and I was driving my plumbing truck which had a big flat window and it came to the window. Hit this window right where my head was, but instead of going through it, it didn’t crack the windshield it took a chip of glass out of it and I don’t know how that is and went up over the truck. And the lower one when through the bumper went through headlight into the cab just missing my leg.
